Visa Information

Business visa will be issued once to foreigners so as to allow them to enter in the United Republic of Tanzania for the following purposes;

1. To conduct special assignments such as fixing/repairing machines or to run short term training, etc.
2. To conduct professional roles such as auditing accounts etc.
3. To conduct lawful business according to the laws of the country.

Requirement:

• Applicant’s valid passport. It must have at least 6 months validity;
• Respective visa fee (250 USD);
• 1 passport size photo
• Return ticket 
• Registration document of  the Host Company inviting the applicant e.g Business Licence or Certificate of Incorporation;
• A work contract or covering letter from the Host Institution detailing the specific purpose (assignment to be undertaken) and duration of such assignment. 

NB:

This Visa is neither renewable nor extendable unless a special pemission is granted by the Commissioner General of immigration.

This Pass may be issued to;

• Dependent wife;
• Children;
• Near relatives.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR DEPENDANT PASS

• Security bond form attached with stamp duty worth 500/= T.Shillings from Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA)
• Copy of the applicant’s valid passport
• Passport copy of dependent
• A soft copy of passport size photograph
• Copy of marriage certificate if wife is dependent
• Copy of birth certificate if dependent is a child
• Copy of birth certificate if dependent is a parent (mother/father) of applicant
• When applying for replacement, previous D/PASS should be attached with the application
• If the applicant is not a Tanzanian citizen but a resident, either of the following resident permits should be attached depending on the immigration status of the applicant (Exemption certificate, Resident Permit class A, B or C)
• Application fee for dependent pass is USD 550

NOTE:

A male child who is above 18 years old is not entitled to be dependent.

This Visa is issued to persons whose nature of their businesses or circumstances require them to make frequent visits to the United Republic of Tanzania for a period not exceeding twelve months. On the other hand, multiple Visa is issued to applicants who are holder of American passports.

NB:

Nationals from America (USA) who wish to visit Tanzania for holiday or tourism are required to apply for Multiple Visa.

Requirement

• MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA (NOT APPLICABLE FOR USA)

  • Applicant’s valid passport. It must have at least 6 months validity;
  • Respective visa fee (100 USD);
  • 1 passport size photo
  • Return ticket 
  • Security Bond duly filled and scanned and (available on the DOWNLOADS in the Immigration website);
  • Registration document of  the Host Company inviting the applicant e.g Business Licence or Certificate of Incorporation (If the applicant visits on Official duties);
  • A covering letter from the Host Institution/family member or any other evidence to prove that the applicant is bound to travel frequently into the United Republic of Tanzania.

Caution:

The Multiple Visa is not intended for those visitors coming on business purposes such as those described under Business Visa category.
